I personally have not tried Detour Bars but people have noted how well these bars taste and the great value they offer.

These protein bars cost slightly more than Powerbar Performance. Powerbar Performance bars cost roughly $1.25 on average, but Detour Bars cost around $1.75 average for the 85-90g bars, but considering Powerbars are 65g you seem to get the same price per gram when it comes to the protein bars.

Detour Bars are meant to help people looking to increase muscle mass, tone, or lose weight. Do not use any protein bar right before or right after a work out to replace a whey protein shake. These are meant to be taken as a meal replacement if you don't have time to make a meal.

These are excellent to have on days you do not work out if you need a little extra protein to maintain a positive nitrogen balance.

Overall, if you want a protein bar I highly recommend at least looking into these, especially if you are on a low budget. They may seem like they offer less for the price but when you consider Detour Bars offer a bigger serving size per bar, they hold more value for what they offer, and with Designer Whey Protein added into the bar it's a no brainer to at least give them a try.
