Non Essential Amino Acid : Glycine
Glycine is a sweet tasting non essential amino acid. It builds protein and constructs DNA, RNA, bile and other amino acids in the body. It also helps absorb calcium in the body.
It seems to be important in prostate health because it is found in large quantities in prostate fluid. It is used by the nervous system and its function there is to act as an inhibitory neurotransmitter, making it important to help prevent epileptic seizures and helps treat manic depression and hyperactivity.
What if I don't have enough?
The body makes its own supply and is abundant in foods which makes it very hard to not have enough.
