Essential Amino Acid : Lysine

Lysine is an essential amino acid which means it partially makes up protein.

It is required to promote bone growth in children, helps maintain the correct nitrogen balance, maintains lean muscle mass, and helps in absorbing calcium.

It is used to produce enzymes, collagen, antibodies, and repairs tissue. It helps to build muscle protein, which is very useful for bodybuilders and people recovering from injuries and surgeries.

What If I Don't Get Enough?

Like with many essential amino acids, it is rare to not get enough. This is because it is found in so many protein foods. So you have nothing to worry about if you getting enough protein.
